As most of you know by now the Stargate Worlds MMO was put on hold due to funding and management issues. Even though StargateWorldsGame.com is still a Stargate game fansite not affiliated with the game creators, I did get the chance to personally meet many StargateWorlds game developers ... all of which were deeply committed to creating the best stargate game to date ... if they had been given a chance to finish it. After reading so much about the game being put on hold the game could be an epic step for online gaming with billions of directions this could go. It would be a shame if it never gets finished, I for one will be keeping an eye on the outcome of the future of this amazing game. Why should Eve online have all the fun this could and will be bigger. Keep the faith make it happen. Remember over 200 episodes where made has to count for something.

Wow, after all the work it looks like they have done, it would be easy for them to release the game and make a paid function to finance updates to perfect it. All they have to do is keep the updates coming and keep improving it to make it better. Hell, blizzard and many others have been doing that for years. Or they could pa*s the project to another group and let them finish it...

Hey, just a thought. I think that this game would be fantasitic with a bunch of choices.Dont make this i game that you just hop through the stargate and kill. Make it a conquest. Allow people to choose what race they are and they are supposed to be aligned. Like a ma*sive team deathmatch. All searching for hidden object which you could hide all over the galaxy. Maybe you can have one galaxy and add an expansion of a another galaxy to start raising the stakes with a race like the asgard and the replicators. Put many puzzles in the game so that people can feel like Daniel Jackson and crack the puzzle that may lead to a zpm which can lead to the expansion of Atlantis and the Wrath and so on. I never got to play the game but i think it has alot of potential if you make it a huge conquest with people trying to achieve power and others being thiefs. hey im 15 and i know if u advertised this game you could get a lot of support in funding. i will always remember star gate and when my dad and i would sit down and watch it together it was the best of times. it was one of those shows that you love and yet it seems to end unfortunately like firefly was we own every season and i would truly love to play this game. p.s. why is it that the first 8 seasons are a big box but the last two are all small it kind of ruins an original collection if you ask me. just saying.

I was lucky enough to play it in the friends and family alpha. I wish I had kept the client files, I don't know if anyone still has them - if they do, emulated servers may be possible but the game was hardly in an extremely playable state - their own server code was not handling things extremely well (again this was ALPHA testing) and many of the minigames did not yet exist. As both an MMO and FPS player I didn't really enjoy the combat controls. Being in the world of Stargate was very cool - even just running around the SGC was a dream come true. I really hope they get the opportunity to finish the game!
