One of SGWGame's community features is the ability for site members to establish a Command Guild. Guilds, or groups, offer exciting benefits such as sharing group adventures, meeting new friends, discovering economic gain and group strategies just to name a few. This allows the gamer a chance to create command groups as in the TV series. There is power in numbers and as long as you work out a plan, your seasoned Command guild will be a force to be reckoned with. We have set up some Guild Policies that will help keep structure and unity...but remember these Guilds are not run by SGWGame or CME...they are run by players. So read through the Guild forums and Guild mission statements to see if they are the SGW family for you. Be picky...if you decide to leave a Guild, simply click the "Unjoin Guild" link shown in the Guild listings.
Each Guild can be built in 3 different types, Open, Approval and Invite. The Open Guild is open to any SGWGame member. The Approval means your profile will be reviewed and the Guild manager may contact you for more insight on who you are and what you can offer per their posted Guild mission statement. And the Invite means it is a closed Guild that will send a private invitation to join their exclusive Command guild. Which Guild you join...try to keep their Guild specific rules and show respect in a positive way. If Guild managers show abuse or oversteps, report this to the site admin. Guilds need to be at least 4 members strong to be considered a Guild...it is best to recruit your members and create your Guild logo before setting up your Command guild. Find members that have specific strengths for the Guild type or rank you are outfitting. Smaller guilds are more personable and may lend to a more specific theme...whereas a larger Guild may need to be broken down internally to form specialty teams. Each SGWGame Guild has messaging and group bulletins that will help you keep in sync with Guild activities. These features are created to help you communicate better...frustrations will fade as you play ideas off of each other. Also you may download free group voice chat programs such as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo (maybe XFire) and choose from free or leased voice servers. After you connect to a public voice server, simply create your Guild Channel and password to filter out trolls. (A few free TS server links have been added to the Chat main menu.) Guilds can also create a Guild website on their own or paste in site code here. The Guild Sites manager is located in the Guilds sidebar menu. Try to make your site different than the others and display in depth what your Guild is all about: Mission Statement fleshed out with Guild specific rules and policies to keep order among the battle and exploration. The goal with command guilds is to ultimately give you a team based experience that is an extension of friendship, game support and imagination. Try not to just join a Guild to fill a space, but be an integral part in the machine. Guild managers should serve and organize their members...and members should show respect among the Command ranks.
