Blog I - A New Hope

Greetings guys/gals!

 Well... This is my first blog... I was pretty good at blogging once upon a time, use to just post general information about my day/week, of course with a humourous twist on them, and people would read it and would say something along the lines of "funny." ... But anyway!

 So, i'll play a little catch up, and share a little bit of information about myself...

I am Chief Master Sergeant Rollem of the Australian Stargate Unit (which really means nothing, just means I post more than other people. :P) - I've been in ASU for roughly 3-4 months now, and I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for those guys. I plan to play a Human Archaeologist (Light Side)!

That works as a nice segway really because I would like to touch on the "Archaeologist"... As far as I can tell and personally think... Archaeologists are going to be like Shaman Pre-TBC in WoW. If anyone remembers that, they know what i'm talking about. Amazingly overpowered!

I have faith in CME though, I really think they're being really careful as far as balancing goes, I mean... Otherwise all the Archtypes would be combat, wouldn't they? :S - The only reason I compare them to the Pre-TBC Shaman AKA "The Overpowered Class" (of its time) is because it sounds like i'm going to be able to do some REALLY cool things. I was reading the transcripts of the Q&A with some of the Devs and they said something about Archaeologists being able to go where they aren't suppose to, and Ledaye has also said a lot of really cool things about the Archaeologist. So I mean... May as well play the loved Archtype right? :P

Don't worry, i'm not going to compare everything to WoW, it was just a good example that I had on my mind.

Speaking of the transcripts, I highly suggest everyone check them out, you could probably find them, I don't want to link anything just incase its against any rules or something.

There was some really good information about the game, it was that information that I was just WAITING for. Because they have been pretty quiet, but from what I have read, they have thought about everything and they seemed much more confident to confirm things, they didn't just say: "oh, we still have to talk about it" - Which I am really excited about, because it means its that close to release and i'm confident that they will have it ready for Q4 of this year. :)

Well, thats as much as I really want to put in here for now, I'll probably write another one later on in the week, and I just realised its 2:40am here. ^^
