Through George I got to meet Richard Dean Anderson, and I have to say I was very impressed with him. He was very polite and down to earth, he actually cares about the fans. I asked him for autographs of the cast, and in a couple of weeks I recieved a script from season 1, that was autographed by him, and several others. (think sep-nov.) As for the x-box game: I think your talking about Stargate Alliance which was basiclly a first person shooter based on a story set around SG1. As for why it was canceled, no clue but with a mmorpg the franchise has more of an oppertunity to evolve and grow rather than reley on it's pass success (SG1) to pull in new fans. Another reason the game might have been canceled is Licensing Rights... Not sure if the formation of CME (and them buying the rights) had anything to do with it but on the light side I'd rather the guys over at CME make a fan oriented stargate game than a bunch of execs deciding that "Halo did good, Sg1 is halo only with 10 years of story and more charicters... SO lets make a Sg1 halo and watch the money poor in." Altough I wouldn't put it past CME to make a console sg game in the future.
