You're right. But i think the look is more generated by the badass gear than by face details, cause unless ur in a close cam shot, pretty much every1 from the same race will look similar beside hair/skin color. But after all, i dont think id dislike to have face tattoos and beard... These details might give personality to your char in close shots.

there is a contest of sorts ongoing with Stargate Atlantis and Stargate worlds. You put in a code and maybe get your likeness added to one of the avatars ingame, if you win the selection.

Agreed, having personality in your character is important and thats where character creation at the beginning comes in. And fits into the role playing part of the MMORPG. Some people might prefer to play as a SGC member wearing the basic battle dress uniform without a helmet, thus making face creation options more important.

I for one hope for a really diverse character creation process. I am a details whore and the more I can manipulate the better.

Personally, I will wear the SGC uniform as have said STAV !! because for me, IT IS the symbol of Stargate !!
But after, why not have a special face or looks!
