Will it be possible and would you want it to be possible for a Jaffa to switch sides in the war? And if so how many times could they do it? Once? Twice? As many times as they want?

I doubt they would include this function, though it would provide more flexibility to the game. I encourage anything that allows the player flexibility, though I'm not sure that is the goal of Cheyenne Mountain.

I think it's a pretty cool concept, makes since storywise when you think about it. maybe you could be given the choice to switch at a certian junctions in the game. If I'm not mistaken the Devs did say that had someprises in the ways enemies interact with each other, you may have a chance to work with the enemy and then given a chance to turn coat... seems doable if your talking about Humans and Jaffa but Goa'uld and Asguard just doesn't make since to me.

As a Goa'uld i don't believe they should have a choice, they're gods have spoken. They will serve or be destroyed.

Kunessu is my Ash'rak

An Ash'rak is a highly trained, highly dangerous Goa'uld assassin, usually employed by a System Lord YYZ, whose name actually means 'hunter'. Ash'rak exhibit such techniques as technically advanced rings which can alter memories of those it is used upon, and one Ash'rak was seen to use a cloaking device similar in technology to that of the Goa'uld Nirrti.

An Ash'rak usually uses a Hara'kesh (also known as an Ash'rak device), which is a smaller version of the Goa'uld hand device, taking the form of an elaborate ring. Its function is to kill the Ash'rak's victim, but it is also frequently used to torture victims into releasing information. It is also capable of affecting other people to make them obey the Ash'rak's commands. Afterwards the victim remembers nothing of the Ash'rak.

I think this could be a useful function in the game, seeing as there was a Jaffa rebellion and such. it might not be a bad idea to have an underground network of jaffa within the ranks of the Goa'uld. But there should also be a "penalty" so to speak,to discourage people from using it too much. Something like a loss of abilities or lvls. or something along those lines.

I think this is an interesting concept, and i believe their are number of possibilities.

Perhaps a goa'uld who has control, over a his group of jaffa, could interchange the jaffa he controls, converting a jaffa he meets in the field to be one of his men. As a form of advancement, recruiting a more powerful unit.

or....

If you manage to take out a goa'uld in a battle, his jaffa will see their god die and see that they are not truly immortal and can be converted to be Free Jaffa...

However i havent heard anything about this topic coming from the devs... so maybe it isnt an aspect of the game which has been considered.

I think it's a really idea, and not just Jaffa but Humans too (you gotta remember Op-Core). I wouldn't want to see Asgard or Goauld changing side, I mean you do have the Tokra but I would consider them a whole new race other than a Goauld.

Even though I think it's a good idea, I can't really think of any way in which it would work well in the game. You wouldn't want people switching over back and forth but you wouldn't want to switch once and then be stuck on that side forever.

I'd have to say I don't think this would be something they would be putting in but if they find the right way to do it, it'd be really cool

Eventually the the devs should at least address the issue because it does eventually become a huge element in the plot of the series. So maybe it wont be a part of the game initially but they would have to do something with it before they start with the Ori content.

One option could perhaps be a link of quests that need to be done each time before a Jaffa can switch from one side to another. Perhaps they could go from good to evil from the same type of mind control Teal'c and his son went through, and from evil to good in a similar manner.
