I’ve cruised the news and forum links and have yet to find any mention of Beta testing.
Has anyone run across any info on this? I’d appreciate any news you might have.

From what I understand they are currently letting friends and ppls of intrest play test the game. Not sure if they'll even have open beta or not. Sure they will though.

They did announce on the forums that they are in Alpha testing with all servers up and people playing on them. They are not yet comfortable enough to open beta. When they are they will announce it on the official forums. They are currently getting user input for bug mapping and bug reporting tools, so it should be very soon that they open up the beta.

Yeah, ive heard the beta shouldnt be too long... However i think i want to wait for the complete game this time around.. ive played loads of beta's but this game i think will be my favourite game for a long time to come, im such a stargate fan... and an mmorpg fan, so this game is the epitemy of fun....
Think il wait to play the proper release without worrying about bugs..

I hope you are right that there will be no bugs on release date... but past exp has told me otherwise... We will see, hopefully they will have the bugs worked out...

I've never been one to try out the beta for anything, but I'm half tempted to make an exception in the case of this game just to see what it'll be like early.

Let's face it, no MMO launches bug free. Vanguard has been out for close to a year and thats still full of bugs. Might as well play the beta and try it out for free.

I love Beta testing, it's a hobby for me, but it's no fun if you go in with the mindset of I'm playing the game early, you have to understand that the reason you're there is to find bugs and get them reported as fast as possible so the dev team can get them fixed. I remember in Beta testing Hellgate: London I found a whole bunch of bugs, transportation portals that were just coded over with a wall instead of properly removed and things like that. I am not playing the game currently because the bugs were never fixed. Gives one a good idea of how the game will be cared for when doing Beta.

Build a Guild

A Guild is just an organized group of gamers with a common theme or mission. Guilds should have a Banner Logo (128px) and can be joined three ways...Open (Anyone), Approval (Anyone can apply), Invite (Private Invitation). The benefits to joining or creating your own Guild is proven mmo strategies and better friendships. An organized team with assigned roles is a force to be reckoned with. Read through the different Guild mission statements and if none appeal to your taste create your own Guild. Each Guild group can create bulletins and group emails that will help keep you in sync. Plus you may add your Guild comrades to your profile Connections for a simple buddy list.
