Wraith Vs. Goa'uld 11 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 4
If we say that there was a battle between the wraith and the Goa'uld, which side would win? The wraith have the technology and the Goa'uld have the numbers.

I personally think wraith because they would just feed on the Jaffa but what does everyone else think?

I'm going to have to give it to the wraith as well. They have better tech and know how to use it.

The wraith are the best bad guys around I think. Hands down they would win. Feed on the Jaffa and even the system lords.

Don't count out the goa'uld so fast, in long range and close combat, the Jaffa would kick wraith butt. Staf weapons and zats can be ver effective, and it wouldn't take much to take down a wraith dart with a death glider. I wonder who would win in a ship battle. A wraith hive ship versus a Goa'uld mother ship. It would be pretty close.

As a collective, my money is on the Wraith, but put a 1 on 1 fight between a System Lord and a Wraith, the Gould would win.

The Wraith's weapons are all made to stun humans, not kill living things. Everything the Wraith have is used to fight human creatures, while Gould seem to be as resistant as Wraiths, and have those killer personal shields and ribbon devices.

The Wraith would bow before his god.

The way I see it the Wraith are harvesters... and the Goa'uld are conquerers.

So ground battle Goa'uld all the way... In space different story... those hive ships are no joke which have organic armored hull which allows the ship a limited ability to repair itself but due to the large size of a Hive-Ship, it is probly not as maneuverable as Goa'uld Ha'tak vessel. So I got to go with the Goa'uld in space also...

Ah but a system lord and a wraith queen. Wraith would win that one for sure, they can control you. There are more wraith queen's then system lords out there. There's one on every ship. In space combat the Wraith have bigger ships, with faster firepower. In the End tho the replicators would rule all.

Actually, the Wraith have the favor on both sides. With a ZPM the Wraith can create armies unfathomable size. And their technology far surpasses that of the Goa'uld. Now if a Goa'uld took a Wraith as a host and then created an Army of Goa'uld Wraith... Then they'd win. I'll go with Goa'uld here, simply because of what would happen when a Wraith went to feed on a Goa'uld.

Think about it: Wraith regenerate their bodies when they have energy. Goa'uld regerate their host's bodies. Wraith have infinite longevity when they are fed. Goa'uld have infinite longevity when they've got a sarcophagus. When a Goa'uld gets in a Wraith, the need for a Sarcgophagus disapears, leaving a perfect being. Between the symbiote and Wraith's natural healing abilities, I don't see anything taking down a Goa'uld Wraith. That'd make for an interesting storyline, don't you think?

When i first saw the Wraith in Series 1 Atlantis, i wasnt sure i liked em.. however they have really grown on me.. I was so used to 8 series of Goa'uld, however the Wraith have really come into their own... Geat Tech, great characters, just wish the Wraith had a few more individual characters which reappear every now and again.. Like the System lords used to... eg. Nerti...

I think the Wraith who have the advantage, if the Wraith got close it would take one quick move with the feeding hand to get through and paralyse the Goa'uld... and a hive ship is huge, with pretty good weapons at least equal to that of a Goa'uld mothership.... Even though, the Goa'uld are very with tech, the Wraith have tech which nearly rivals the Ancients, so id have to side with the Wraith in one on one fight...

The wraith do have a reappearing character. Micheal has shown up sometimes, and The wraith that helped sheppard escaped has also appeared sometimes.

I admit that the wraith are advanced but I think the goa'uld would have an advantage. remember the personal shield devices that all "gods" have on there hand devices. If they administer those to all jaffa, how else will the wraith kill them. If they get close enough, slower objects might pass through, but I doubt that a wraith may win in close combat.
