Hiya Guys, i know this isnt a stargate question, so please forgive..
However, ive recently made a pc for my gran, it powers up at my house no problem, however when i take it to my gran's house... Nothing, really frustrating... I initially thought it maybe the power cable, but ive changed it and still, works at mine, not at hers.. The only thing i can think of is its the power supply.. There are three setting on the power supply. H A L... at the mo its set to A...
By the way i live in the UK,
Any Help would be greatly appreciated...
thanks,

No problem, your in off-topic so its fair game. Wish I could help but thats a odd problem I have never encountered. Only thing I can tell you is it has nothing to do with the H A and L settings. Those are just for the fan speed, High - Automatic (depends on your temperature) - and Low. As far as I know all sockets in the U.K. come out at 220 volts so it just doesn't make sense that it would work at your house but not hers. This is going to sound like a dumb question, but did you check the wall socket to make sure it's functional with a lamp or anything before you plugged the computer in? /shrug can't hurt to ask. Just can't think of anything else, maybe someone else will be more help.
