Yeah unfortunately closed beta is early summer, open beta sometime in late summer I'd hazard a guess. Game won't be released till Q4, september/october at the earliest. We are hoping to not get any push backs of the release date but with MMO's it happens quite a bit. Keep your eyes peeled though, this is going to be one heck of a game.

Besides, I don't think you should nor would download this game. We should all do our part in supporting this game by purchasing it and im sure they will have active percautions in downloading the game.

well would like to see it on steam for purchase ( save on environment and i also keep misplacing my music/game discs/ cd keys etc ) prerelease but not live same as they did for hl2  but all depends on what steam charges for hosting it i supose

Well, I'm not sure if Firesky/CME have any relationship with Valve and their Steam apparatus. But I suppose having some kind of online distribution is certainly a possibility. That said, I personally think I'll likely be interested in the Special Edition, if there is one, and thats a tangible object. So I'm just hoping that EB, Futureshop and BestBuy don't conspire to prevent me from getting into the game on time.

See, now I think that would be an awesome idea. If there was a place where we could purchase the game online and download it, I would be all for that, I know i've lost my own fair share of cd keys/games.
