hey is there any firefly fans here to?...and what do you think is bigger serenity or a jaffa/goa'uld cargo ship

I'm a pretty big Firefly fan too.

Well, Serenity is listed as being 82m long (269 ft.) by 52m wide (170ft) by 24m (78ft) high.

A Tel'tak (unarmed cargo ship) only has the cockpit and one cargo room. I couldn't get any exact numbers off of the internet as far as the dimensions, but based on the few side by side shots of it and the characters, I'd say its only about 15-20 ft tall (perspective might be off on those shots, hard to say) and about 30 ft long. Those are pretty rough estimates though.

An Al'kesh (the bomber) has a similar frame, but does seem to be a bit beefier. I'm still fairly sure its smaller though.

So, I'd say the cargo ships are about garage sized, and Serenity would need a football field to touch down in.

I have the movie and the DVDs. Great show... sad ending

And I concur.. just think of how much -stuff- went on in Serenity and how many levels, rooms, etc. Only the Goa'uld mother ship could compete (and I wager THAT is larger than Serenity... *think to the movie when the ship is setting down over the entire Pyramid- and utterly dwarfing it*.
Space can make size distorted... but something "recognizable" like an Egyptian pyramid... kinda sets a scale.

kinda thought that you might be one, een you on another forum, and saw that you had jayne as you pic there...well the actor that played jayne.

heh I got the movie and dvds to lol... and very true, but serenity does have to many secret compartments to count, but even with that said mothership makes serenity look like this ant, then giant

Yeah. Although actually I was an Adam Baldwin fan before Firefly. Jayne is great, but give Full Metal Jacket a watch if you've got the hankering for a war movie some time.

And my avatar picture is actually Adam when he showed up in SG1 as Col. Dave Dixon.

I've seen it, but I kinda liked him in the body gaurd a bit better, I saw that episode, it was pretty good, but still think that my favorite thing he's been in is firefly and serenity

Build a Guild

A Guild is just an organized group of gamers with a common theme or mission. Guilds should have a Banner Logo (128px) and can be joined three ways...Open (Anyone), Approval (Anyone can apply), Invite (Private Invitation). The benefits to joining or creating your own Guild is proven mmo strategies and better friendships. An organized team with assigned roles is a force to be reckoned with. Read through the different Guild mission statements and if none appeal to your taste create your own Guild. Each Guild group can create bulletins and group emails that will help keep you in sync. Plus you may add your Guild comrades to your profile Connections for a simple buddy list.
