I understand where your concern is coming from. Your right more than likely their will be a lot more americans playing than any other, but if theirs a decent population in asia, europe, austrailia i'm sure they will add servers there too. But I wouldn't say you'd get any lag as long as you have a fast connection. Servers have come a long way from the days of star wars galaxies, where if your only 5 hours drive from the server you'd get 150 ping. But here is the location of the audio podcast where they mention server locations and what they will probably do at launch and maybe add servers on other continents later on. If you want austrailia to have their own server my only advice is, get as many of your fellow austrailians playing the game as possible  .

From what I know, is that stargate is one of the only shows that has a HUGE fanbase all over the world, so that means that with all of the subscribers (who wouldn't want to fill sg-1's shoes) there will be plenty of money to spread servers all over the world so everyone should be happy, I hope at least

Doesn't matter to me where the servers are located as long as I get the option to play on the same servers as my european friends that I met from other games. I dislike the MMO's that force you to play on the servers of your region and you have no choice.

US...West coast if there is one..
Stav makes a good point though….I usually go with a server that is regional with the belief that there is less lag.

And they did state that even if they don't have any non U.S. severs at launch that could very well add some easily. But the problem I see with that is, people will already establish their main character on the first server they choose and might not want to start over (depending on how fast they add new servers). But I have a feeling at the least they will release the game with servers in europe too because theirs a huge stargate fan base in the U.K. and Spain. But until the game gets closer to release we won't know for sure.

Yes, i'm agree with you !! You have just forget that they have much fan in France too !! lol!!
I think that despite like some people will join in the first server, there will be much people on other servers. Just with those who will not start dice SGW will be in sale, there will be much gamer, sine count those who will create a second character in a local server.

lol, yeah I did forget about france. I will fix it, Europe has a huge fan base in spain, u.k. and FRANCE.  . I know theirs a couple others but those 3 have the largest.
