For those of you who did not see me other post I am at work,(yes on a Saturday and a bank no less) and bored to no end. So I was thinking about Stargate and a random thought hit me. Jaffa. Their incredible strength and regenerative powers would end when they gave up the symbiote and started taking Tritonin (if I have misspelled that please correct me), wouldn't it? But more than that, would the need for symbiotes continue in their bloodlines if they were substituting it with Tritonin? In other words would the Jaffa offspring end up needing Tritonin or not? Discuss!

Tritonin is a substitute for a goa'uld larva, so there regenative powers and strength would remain intact but a a lesser quantity.

Teal'c: " My depth is immaterial to this conversation"
Daniel: " Ohhhh!!! You see!?!?"
Jack: " That's it, no more beer for you!"

Maybe Tretonin will turn out like naquadah did for the Goa'uld and over time just become part of them. This would end the need to keep taking the injections in future generations.

YYZ,
You are correct in saying Tealc and Bratac where the 1st 2 Jaffa to take the Tretonin, but around late season 7 or season 8 they start mass production and giving it out to any Jaffa that wanted it.

Probably not. Think about it: Until the Prim'ta a Jaffa still has an immune system. Therefor, without the Prim'ta ceremony, there'd likely be no need for either Tretonin or a Symbiote.

But after the mass production of Tritonin the Jaffa may choose to keep even a limited boost in strength and keep the mighty immune system boost that tritonin offers, while some may go back to being no longer jaffa but almost human. And I thought strength the had was not from the symbiote but the genetic engineering worked upon the Jaffa to support the larval Goauld.
